Thurs., 19 May the church of la Maddalena

Thurs., 19 May at the Ca' d'Oro

Thursday night (May 19) at Casa Rezzonico.

Their outdoor breakfast seating area.

My room, up a very narrow staircase.

The staircase.  I didn't photo the narrowest part, because I was afraid of tipping over.

The landing.

Below is Casa Rezzonico's garden.  The window at the right was my 2014 window in the Parenzo Room of the Guesthouse.  The narrow area to the left of the Guesthouse building is their garden, over which this year's Cittadella Room looks.

Fri. 20 May at Casa Rezzonico

Really large, really odd coffee maker.

Fri., 20 May The Arsenal Gate

Fri., 20 May at San Francesco della Vigna

This church has two cloisters!

And a facade by Andrea Palladio

Fri., 20 May at Spaghetteria 6342 Le Tole

Pizza with Wurstel

Glass blocks at entrance.

Cheesecake

Fri., 20 May. The Puddle

See the puddle at the lower right?  It's always there, come rain or come shine.  I always forget it's there.  Ugh.  Damp shoes.

Thu 19 May - Paradise Lost for lunch

Coming to you live with Dante.  But they don't take credit cards!

Tues., 17 May Doge's Palace

Wellhead.

Interior courtyard of the prison complex.

You wouldn't want to be here!

Pattern of light and shade from stained glass windows falling on stairs.

Ceiling of Golden Staircase

Mouth into which you put your written denunciation of evildoers.

Tues., 17 May. Doge's Palace

Waiting in line for the ladies' room at the Doge's Palace, you can see the water lapping under the doorway.  That's how close you are to the water line!

Tues., 17 May lunch at Trattoria Cassanova after the Doge's Palace

Tues., 17 May. Mauro Codussi's church of Santa Maria Formosa

Wednesday, 18 May Palladio's Villa Emo

Say AY-moe.

Again, no inside photos allowed.  So, here's the exterior.

Below is with your back to the front of the building.  Way in the distance you can see a passenger train, which cuts across the villa's vista.

Wednesday, 18 May Palladio's Villa Barbaro in Maser

A female anguipede figure!  Well, you might say fishy-legged rather than snaky-legged.  But grant me these, please.

Nice lunch of local cheeses, sausages, veggies, dips, wine and bread.  Both dips were quite spicy!
