Last Full Day 20131212

So I took it easy by going to two museums!
Here's the cafe in the Scuderie (which was the stables for the Quirinal Palace); they don't allow photos in the museum itself.

This is the view from my table.

Another view from the cafe, up via del Quirinale.

Move 3 Centuries by turning around.

The apse mosaics of the church are 6th century.

Turn around and you see the 3rd century Roman Rotunda.
You're looking through glass; hence, the reflection.

Rome20131203

We also took a guided tour of the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel, the musculature of which influenced Michelangelo's Sistine Chapel figures.

At the Museo Carlo Bilotti were contemporary artists' work, too.
We especially liked the fooze-ball game made with heads.

We have enjoyed beautiful weather!
Warm enough to eat outside.

Got our money's worth out of the bus passes.
Started northeast at Villa Borghese & ended way west at the Vatican.
The photo below is at the Museo Carlo Bilotti; Bilotti collected about 18 of Giorgio de Chirico's post-metaphysical paintings.
